Though I might not understand why adversity happens by my conscious choice I will find strength, compassion and grace through my trials.

Perspective is Saturday’s Promise from The Self Empowerment Pledge

Today I am wearing the purple wristband for Saturday’s Promise. I have not had any particular adversity befall me recently, not do I expect anything bad to happen in the near future. I certainly hope that will be the case.

I am, however, mindful of the fact that Rabbi Harold Kushner did not give his beautiful book the title if bad things happen to good people. Sooner or later bad things do happen to good people. It’s when, not if.

And the time to prepare yourself to have a positive perspective on those bad things, and to not fall into the trap of acting the role of the victim or the martyr, is before they happen.

That is one reason I created the PledgePower course – 21 modules, three for each of the seven promises of The Self Empowerment Pledge.

So here’s a question for you: if you knew it would help you lay the foundation for a happier future in both your work and home lives, would you invest 15 minutes a day (and 79 bucks) for the last 21 days of June (beginning next Monday). If you answer is yes, please take a minute and check out the detailed course outline for the PledgePower course on The Self Empowerment Pledge at this link.

Ask yourself if working on that curriculum during the last three weeks of June could help you have a happier and more productive future. If your answer is yes (and if you’re being honest with yourself your answer will be yes) then sign up for the course. As soon as you do we’ll also send you a link to the 21 video modules and bonus eBook. We will also mail you a set of wristbands for each of the seven promises.
