The coronavirus pandemic was like a comet scorching its way across the sky. The long tail trailing behind that comet will be the personal grief, emotional trauma, financial distress, distrust and anger that millions will still be living with.
We all hope and pray that vaccines will be “the light at the end of the tunnel.” But that light will not be like the tape at the end of a marathon where we run through it and, like Dorothy entering the Land of Oz, suddenly the world is technicolor rainbows and lollipops.
That light is more like a torch that we will be called to pick up and carry to light the way for the many who are still in the tunnel behind us, trying to find their way out, and to illuminate the tunnels that will inevitably need to be traversed in the years to come.
That’s why we launched the Stay Strong For Us project. You need to Stay Strong for yourself, your family, and the people who depend upon you. And we need you to Stay Strong For Us because we’re all in this together, and we need each other like never before.
You can view the eBook as a flipbook and/or download the PDF. The book includes more than a hundred messages of gratitude, hope, and encouragement from healthcare leaders, authors, and others. Whatever your situation, there is something in here for you. Thanks to my great friend Lisa at Studio 6 Sense, the book has a gorgeous design. And it is completely free.
So please check it out yourself. Share it with colleagues at work and with family at home. Post it on your social media accounts. Most important, take these messages to heart yourself.
