Books that Inspire Me: #3 The Confidence Course

This is the third in a series of posts in which I share thoughts on a book that has inspired me over the years.

I read The Confidence Course at a time when I was going through a rough patch both in my business and in my personal life. When I read the sentence above I underlined and highlighted it, then printed out copies and posted them where I would see them often.

It was a great reminder that whatever we might be going through, however dark the space might feel, we can learn from the experience and grow stronger through the challenge.

We are now all being challenged by the pandemic, by the economy, by everything else we see on the nightly news. This book – and especially this one passage – are more important and more relevant than they first were when I bought the book at a real bricks-and-mortar independent bookstore.

We are in the process of pivoting The Pickle Challenge for Charity to raise money (hopefully a lot of money) and awareness to support the mental health and emotional wellbeing of the world’s caregivers who have borne the brunt of this pandemic, now in its fourth surge. You can help us direct that funding by taking 2 minutes and responding to this survey:
