If your organization has worked with Values Coach over the past 12 years you have gotten to know Michelle Arduser, our Director of Client Experience. Michelle has been a partner, a confidante, and a friend. She has recently moved to a new position as Operations Specialist for Buck Creek Distributing (find her on LinkedIn). They’re fortunate to have her – and I’m fortunate that she’s still able to stop by the office and help out now and then, and can still periodically go next door with the team for our Friday “nachos for lunch” ritual.
I’m also pleased to tell you that we have been joined by Annie Tye as Director of Research and Innovation. Annie will also be working with our clients to help us further develop our courses and services in this fast-changing world.
Annie earned a PhD in Neuroscience from the University of Iowa and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Colorado in Denver. Prior to joining Values Coach, Annie was a freelance medical writer specializing in interpreting complex concepts for lay readers.
One of Annie’s first big projects was helping me edit and helping Lisa design the book and website for the Stay Strong For Us Project. You can download the free eBook at www.StayStrongForUs.com. It is also available on Amazon in a beautiful full-color hardcopy and as a Kindle book.
In her spare time, Annie loves hanging out with her dog Rocky, DIY’ing, and toodling around on her motorcycle. And yes, it’s no coincidence that Annie and I have the same last name. I am proud to be her Dad. Connect with her on LinkedIn.
The Pickle Challenge at Loma Linda University Medical Center – Murrieta
This week I’m in California at Loma Linda University Medical Center – Murrieta. As part of a larger Values & Culture Project, they are doing the Pickle Challenge for Charity to raise money for adolescent behavioral health services by turning complaints into contributions.
The “Choose Your Pickle” is one of the many creative displays that hospital team members are displaying (this one on one of the patient care units) to encourage their colleagues to “turn every complaint into either a blessing or a constructive suggestion” (The Pickle Pledge).
Contact me if you would like to learn more about The Pickle Pledge and The Pickle Challenge for Charity – and how they can help you build a more positive Culture of Ownership in your organization. You can also order the book Pickle Pledge, which I wrote with Bob Dent, on Amazon.
Everyday Courage for Extraordinary Times features 21 short videos, 12 eBooks, Leader’s Guide and Participant Study Guide. The course is incredibly affordable, easy to implement, tailored to your organization, and absolutely guaranteed to be effective.
